How to Download Videos from Other Social Networks

Nobody sticks to one social network anymore. You might catch a clip on Bluesky in the morning, scroll Reddit at lunch, and end the day half-watching a Twitch stream. Sooner or later, on every one of those apps, you'll spot a video you want to keep. Maybe it's a recipe you'll want later, or a clip a friend would love.

Here's the good news: the method you already use to save Bluesky videos works almost everywhere. Copy the link to the post, paste it into a downloader, click Download. The only thing that changes from network to network is the tool. Below is the right one for each platform, plus a note or two about how it behaves.

A quick note before we start

Every tool on this list is built by us, the same small team (Aculix) that runs BskySaver. So no, this isn't a neutral roundup of the whole internet. But each tool is free, none of them ask you to register, and they all work in any browser on your phone, tablet or computer. The steps barely change from one site to the next:

1. Copy the link to the post. Every app has a share button or a copy link option somewhere.
2. Paste the link into the downloader's input box.
3. Click Download, then hit the Download button on the results page.

One rule applies across the board: these tools only work with public posts. Keep downloads for personal use, and if you want to repost someone's work elsewhere, ask them first.

Facebook

FSaver is our Facebook video downloader, and it handles both regular video posts and reels. Facebook links come in a few different shapes (some start with fb.watch, others are long URLs stuffed with tracking junk), and FSaver accepts all of them, so don't worry about cleaning the link up. Twitter / X

For X, Tweeload is the video downloader you want. Tap the share icon under the post, copy the link, paste it in. One thing worth knowing: GIFs on X aren't actual GIF files. Pinterest

Instagram

VDFR covers Instagram reels and video posts. Instagram is stricter than most networks about outside tools, so stick to public accounts. If a profile is private, no Instagram video downloader can reach it. Any site that claims it can is a site you should close right away.

Reddit

Reddit is the odd one out. Videos uploaded to Reddit's own player are stored as two separate files, one for the picture and one for the sound. Threads

Twitch

Two things to keep in mind. First, Twitch removes VODs after a set period, so if a stream matters to you, save it sooner rather than later. Second, a three-hour VOD is a big file. Grab it on wifi unless you have data to burn.
